Manual Lymphatic Drainage (The Vodder Technique Used)
Originally developed in Germany, MLD was intended to treat lymphedema, swelling caused by accumulated fluid that happens after the surgical removal of lymph nodes, which happens most frequently during mastectomy surgeries. Since the lymphatic system is directly connected to our immune system, MLD can be used to treat not just lymphedema, but lipedema, endometriosis, PCOS, fibrosis, hormonal imbalance, post-surgical recovery, and more.
Recommended MLD Sessions:
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and bunching of the muscles and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes, those who workout regularly, and those who sit for long periods of time.
After identifying and isolating the specific muscles to be stretched, I will assist clients in a customized routine of different stretches to improve their range of motion and flexibility. Perfect for improving your athletic performance and increasing mobility.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. It is extremely relaxing and a stress reliever!
